Please help us to feed the children at Katiyo Primary School in Zimbabwe
Read more ...During this term many children at Katiyo Primary School will stop coming to school because they are too hungry to learn because there is no food left at home. This is due to many families losing crops last summer due to extreme weather because of climate change.
We are supporting the school to implement a food programme - this means that children who come to school will get a hot nutrious meal. It costs just £5 to feed a child every school day for the term.
For many of us that is an amount of money we spend without thinking too much - I bought a bag of sweets for Brownies that cost just over £5 this week, I had lunch today out with a friend that cost me £10 for soup, drink and a tray bake - the same money would feed two children till Christmas.
I know that times are difficult but if you are able to donate any amount at all it will help us to make sure as many children have a meal every day.
