Axel Scheffler, Patron, Habitats & Heritage:
Axel is the best-selling illustrator of many favourite children’s picture books, including the award-winning The Gruffalo. Born in Hamburg, West Germany, Axel moved to England in 1982 and studied at the Bath Academy of Art. He now lives in Richmond, where he works from his attic studio.

The print was a featuring artwork from the poster for the Habitats & Heritage online event "Christmas Tales with Axel Scheffler, illustrator of The Gruffalo" in December 2020.
