Our Sparkling Vintage Cider is made with a high proportion of dessert apples in the mix to give it that delicious ‘méthode traditionelle’ taste. The apples are pressed, then fermented twice: first in the barrel for a year; then a second year’s fermentation in the bottle. The cider is then disgorged in the champagne style and aged further before release. It is the secondary fermentation that gives our cider its wonderful bubbly effervescence; a method invented in the West Country for fine cider making around 1600, well before it was used in France for Champagne. Our Sparkling Vintage Cider won silver at the 2015 British Cider championships and a 2016 Gold Taste of the West award.

The name ‘Castledore’ is taken from the iron age fort Castle Dore which stands just a couple of hundred meters from the Fowey Valley home orchard. It is a wonderfully refreshing, medium dry, lightly carbonated cider. Very clean on the palate, well balanced, and low tannin, with a beautiful straw colour.
Fowey Valley Vintage Cider Vinegar is made from our Vintage Cider. Aged for three years before bottling, our cider vinegar is unfiltered, unpasteurised and has no preservatives added. The healthy vinegar! It is 5% strength - perfect for salads, chips and pickling.

To complement our cider vinegar we import and bottle this extra virgin olive oil from southwest Sicily. Our Nocellara del Belice olives are grown in the Belice Valley near the town of Castelvetrano. This variety is characterised by its bright green colour and its large, plump size; each olive weighs from 6 to 8 grams. The oil has aromas of citrus fruits and pepper. It is lightly spicy, extraordinarily fruity, silky and light with notes of artichokes, green apple, tomatoes and delicate young green almond. The finish is wonderfully fresh. We source this fantastic oil from our friends the Bua family who supply our champagne corks and grow these olives.
Made from Grandma Gibson's secret recipe. It's got our cider, cider vinegar and apples, in it. What more could you want? It's not too spicy so the apple and onion can come through. Delicious with cold cuts or cheese.

Foy Gin is a classic, velvety, aromatic gin. Juniper led with three citrus notes on the second level and just a hint of fragrant spice underneath. Made by us, entirely from scratch, it is distilled from our own alcohol in batches of 200 litres, firstly up to 96% ABV on the column still, then a last run with the botanicals on the pot still.

Think Vodka tonic, think Martini, or for sipping simply serve ice-cold from the fridge in a chilled glass. Our Vodka is like silk, with a hint of vanilla, caramel and fennel. A superbly smooth vodka distilled in small batches of 200 litres on a column still. Like all of our spirits, we make the alcohol from scratch ourselves.
Our Eau de Vie has been compared to the very best of French Eau de Vie. It's double pot distilled from our cider. The discreet apple notes are joined by hints of cherry brandy, apricot and chocolate. Enjoy as a distinguished after-dinner digestif or use instead of Gin or Vodka in cocktails.

Our Pommeau is a blend of half fresh apple juice and half our own Fowey Valley Eau de Vie. It is very moreish and very versatile. Serve chilled as a delightfully fresh and appley aperitif or serve with chocolate or apple based desserts. It works well in the kitchen too, add a splash to liven up pork, fish or chicken dishes. You can also mix with soda water and ice for a long drink.

This screen print by Robyn Forbes of the view from Fowey harbour out to the Gribbin was created using a monoprint process, which creates spontaneous and expressive print work by painting directly onto the silk screen.

Robyn is a practicing artist working from both Fowey and London, who specialises in printmaking using the screen printing process to capture images of her favourite places.
