This is an great opportunity to be involved with an outstanding prospect. We purchased this filly as a yearling and always intended to sell her as a 3 yr old, but the closer we got to sale day the more and more we liked her – so we set a strong reserve - We really wanted this girl back to run in our colours!

What can we tell you about her? She is 16.3hh – so she is a tall girl. She has a fantastic, athletic walk and trot, and a wonderful temperament. She was so well behaved at the sales, that she was shown, and paraded by a young lady having her first experience of doing it in public.

Her sire, Camelot needs no introduction – one of the best racehorses we have seen in the last 50 years – he was very unfortunate not be win a triple crown. He has become one of the best sires in Ireland – his progeny winning a host of Group 1’s all over the world, and an Irish Derby with Latrobe. He was also the sire of the ill-fated, but extremely highly talented hurdler Sir Erec, and has a wonderful filly running for him in the Grade 2 winner, Miranda. This filly is the full sister to the dual hurdles winner, and Grade 1,2 and 3 placed Gardens Of Babylon, who made 240,000 gns as a yearling.

Her dam, Condition, was placed in Listed company in France, running over trips from 1m – 1m3f. She has bred 3 black type performers – Dreamt, who won in Listed company, Homepage who was placed in Listed company, and Gardens Of Babylon (by Camelot) who has been placed at the highest level over hurdles.

This filly really has all the credentials to be very good in the National Hunt sphere, and we are delighted to be able to offer a horse of this quality.

She will remain the property of Olney Bloodstock Ltd and will run in the name and colours of Nick Brown Racing. She was broken and pre trained by Jason Maguire and made her debut in a Newcomers Bumper in Market Rasen on Boxing Day 2022, when, after settling in rear, she came wide of the field into the straight and looked like going very close until tiring. The winner is very smart, and she ran well against geldings! She finished a very creditable 5th beaten just 6 lengths. She went on to finish a short head second on her next start in another bumper in Chepstow, and we had high hopes that she would break her maiden in a bumper before the end of that season – but the weather got in the way and it dried up so that we couldn’t run her again.

After your safety briefing, your ex-military instructors will take off in close formation before teaching you how to fly aerobatics yourself! After getting used to the incredibly fast T67 Firefly plane and the G-force, you will undertake tail chasing and combat against one another!

Sir Mark Prescott has trained at Heath House since 1970 and has sent out over 2,200 winners including Hooray (Champion 2yo filly of the world), Alborada (2x Champion Stakes winner), Albanova (Champion older filly), Pivotal (Champion Sprinter and Champion Sire) and Marsha (Prix de l’Abbaye & Nunthorpe), who subsequently sold for the top European auction sales price ever for a thoroughbred at 6 million guineas. In 2022 he trained Alpinista to win six consecutive Group 1’s culminating in the Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe. He has also won most of the premier handicaps and trained such multiple winners as Spindrifter (13 wins at 2 years and 10 consecutive races) Masafi (7 wins in 17 days at 6 different courses) and Misty Halo (25 career wins on the flat). All three being flat race record holders to this day.

He has 50 stables in two adjacent yards - at Heath House (31 boxes) and Osborne House (19 boxes). He was chairman of the Heath Committee, that runs Newmarket gallops, for 46 years, and is a lover of all country sports and ran the Waterloo Cup for 17 years.

Almuña sleeps 16 in eight comfortable bedrooms with lovely views and all with en suite bathrooms. The house is surrounded by an acre of garden, with lawns, olive and almond groves where there are quiet places to marvel at the glory of the surrounding country. This is a magical place to learn and improve your art or just to sit in the shade of the giant carob tree by the pool.
The painters are instructed by Eleanor White, founder of Bridge House Art in Ullapool, established in 1995. She began her teaching practice at the Edinburgh Academy and is a visiting tutor at The Leith School of Art. Community Art is important to her and she exhibits in the UK
At the centre of the teaching is a love of art and nature and the dramatic landscape around Almuña will act as an inspiration for the beginner and experienced artist. Each stage of the course is demonstrated step by step covering key topics and techniques essential to creating a successful painting. Students will be encouraged to work at their own pace and to explore and experiment with water colour in a supportive and relaxed atmosphere.
The teaching day is normally from 10.00am - 1.30pm. Afternoons can be used to complete the morning’s work with some time off to relax before an evening talk and critique during drinks before dinner. The painting locations will vary from the area around Almuña and further afield with picnic lunches.
Students are expected to bring their own art materials although some are available at Almuña and are included in a packing list of recommended materials to bring with you.
We would like to make this an equal holiday for non-painters. On the farm there is tennis, riding and some lovely walks. 45 minutes drive from Almuña there are excellent golf courses. "The prize to be won is a commission by renowned artist Tania Still. The commission will be 90cm x 90cm in size and has an RRP of £6500.

Tania Still was born in 1976 and grew up in North Yorkshire. Her passion for the countryside and rural pursuits are the main inspiration in her work, she feels it important to try and convey the changing attitudes to rural life.

I predominantly concentrate on painting horses and hounds. Unless vital to the work, I portray the subjects without a background, as the personality of horse and hound are the main focus of my work. The lack of background also lets the viewers eye concentrate on the subjects within the painting. My work on a large scale, is also a passion as I can get involved in the anatomy and muscle structure of the subjects creating a strong narrative.

Tania’s paintings can be found in many private collections throughout the UK, Europe, the USA and Argentina, she had two paintings in ‘The Dog’ exhibition at Chatsworth House in 2019.

Household Cavalry in Windsor Park painted during Jeremy's residency at Windsor

British artist Jeremy Houghton paints incredible journeys, favouring themes of motion, light and passages of time. The subjects that characterise these scenes are illuminated by his focus on the spaces in which bodies linger, shimmer, move and often take flight. Houghton’s signature flamingo portfolio started during his first residency in South Africa where his paintings were used to raise awareness of these eye catching endangered birds. A recent visit to the Kalahari Desert has inspired a new collection elevated with gold leaf as a comment on the rarity of the species.

Whilst much of Houghton’s studio practice focuses on his ongoing flamingo collection, over the last 20 years he has also been artist in residence for a number of royal, military and sporting communities, from those at Windsor Castle for HM Queen Elizabeth II to 2017’s Wimbledon championships, and the competitors at the 2012 London Olympic Games. These tonal works use a reduced palette to enhance the representation of nostalgia and occasion.

Critics' Tasting Notes:
"Tasted from an ex-château bottle at BI Wine & Spirits Calon-Segur dinner in London, the 2005 Calon Segur is on par with the wonderful 2000. The only real difference is that this needs more time in bottle. It has a captivating nose: blackberry and boysenberry fruit coming at you at full pelt; dried blood and bacon fat developing as secondary aromas just behind. There is fine delineation here - an underlying mineralité sure to surface with time. The palate is very intense and disarmingly youthful, almost ferrous on the entry with layers of ripe black fruit that segue into an earthy finish (with a curious light tang of Marmite on the aftertaste!). It is a fabulous Calon Ségur, though the millennial wine might ultimately possess greater precision. We will see. Tasted March 2015." Drink 2020-2050

Caroline enjoyed drawing from an early age and began sculpting in bronze over 28 years ago; she is now regarded as one of the top artists in this field, she also paints many subjects in oils. She has exhibited her work in London, Europe and America.

It was a first pony Blackie that ignited the spark that fuelled the love of horses throughout Caroline’s life.

Her gift of being able to draw and subsequently sculpt came through her mother who was at The “Slade” before war broke out when she became a Wren.

Caroline’s connection with horses enabled her to meet and work for a variety of interesting and knowledgeable people; they included Col Jack Talbot-Ponsonby, Alison Oliver, George Goring, the equine vet Peter Scott-Dunn, Raymond Mould and Trevor Hemmings to name but a few.

It also opened the stable door to working with exceptionally talented horses like eventers Purple Star and Columbus, to sculpting showjumpers Milton and Hello Sanctos. Racehorses include Trevor Hemmings three GN winners Ballabriggs, Hedgehunter and Many Clouds plus various Cheltenham Festival winners. Life size bonzes of Double Trigger for Doncaster racecourse, Special Cargo Sandown, Lord Gyllene Animal Health Trust and Triumph Hurdle winner Spectroscope are just a few of her commissions.

Caroline has captured in bronze many subjects from animals both wild and domestic, people and even a Saker falcon for clients in the UAE.

In 2021 RMA Sandhurst commisioned Caroline for a life size bronze of HM Queen Elizabeth11 to celebrate Her Majestys Planinum Jubilee. Caroline chose to depict the Queen at Trooping the Colour in 1984 as Royal Colonel of the Grenadier Guards riding her favourite mare Burmese. The sculpture was unvieled by, the then, HRH the Earl of Wessex on May 27th 2022.
