Book Title: Warrior Princess, Errant Page
Book Genre: YA Historical Fiction
Format: Paperback
Dedication Available: Yes
Free Postage: Global
The Book:
Warrior Princess, Errant Page is a fantastic YA historical novel and is
set in the days when Good King Wenceslas ruled Bohemia. The story of Emma, the warrior princess, and Podevin, the errant page, is told against a background of tenth-century court intrigue, personality clashes, and warfare.
Can a 22-year-old page and bodyguard avenge the death of his assassinated king, while being hunted as an outlaw?
Can an Anglo-Saxon princess, stuck hundreds of miles from home in a foreign court, follow her heart when her husband does not want her?
Will Emma and Podevin be able to find a secure future in such a deadly, dangerous world?
The Author:
Nigel was originally a Shropshire lad, being born and raised in Shrewsbury. Having gained a BSc from Loughborough University and a PGCE from Bath, his teaching career took him from the south-west of England to Teesside via Botswana, Africa. Following his PhD in Durham, he published his non-fiction book ‘Engaging Politics?’ in 2007 (as Nigel W. Oakley) and served as World Development Officer for the Diocese of Durham for five years.
Since moving back to the Midlands, he has concentrated on writing fiction. ‘Warrior Princess, Errant Page’, the first novel in the Premyslid Chronicles, will be published with Resolute Books in the Spring of 2025. Warrior Princess, Errant Page is about Good King Wenceslas’s page and sprung from a conversation with his son after the school Christmas Concert; having sung about God King Wenceslas, he wanted to know “who the page was” in that carol. Nigel’s research led him to a name: Podevin, and a story about an assassination, a connection with the warrior grand-daughter of King Alfred the Great, and a life in exile …
To ensure he keeps his creative muscles in trim, Nigel also produces a short story every month and regularly puts them on his website, where readers can also hear him read those stories.

Title: Thirst
Genre: Young Adult/Paranormal
Format: Paperback
Signed - Dedication is Available
Bids Accepted: UK Only
The Book;
Nobody talks about the strange happenings in Maimsbury. No one speaks of the hooded figures glimpsed in the woods, nor the children's game that went so horribly wrong. But most of all, nobody dares whisper their doubts about the river they have worshipped for centuries.
Like everyone in Maimsbury, Gorse is used to the sacrifices made every spring to the River Yeelde. The life of a farm animal - in return for a year of plenty - seems a fair trade. That is, until a tragedy leads Gorse to a blood-curdling discovery.
Because this year is a Brim Year, and after giving so much, the river needs more than an animal's life to sate its thirst...
The Author:
I’m Darren Simpson and I write vivid, unruly fiction for older children and teens. I’m also a Literacy Champion for the National Literacy Trust, and love visiting schools to nurture passion for reading and writing.
My debut novel, Scavengers, was a Guardian Best Book of the Year, and was selected for the national Summer Reading Challenge. The Memory Thieves was an Observer Book of the Month and a World Book Day Summer Read. My latest book, Furthermoor, was Blackwell’s Children’s Book of the Month and a Waterstones Best Book of the Year. I’ve been lucky enough to see my stories win awards and get translated into several languages, and have been nominated twice for the prestigious Carnegie Medal.
My latest novel, Thirst, was published in September.

Book Title: Not Going To Plan
Genre: Young Adult
Format: Paperback (First Edition)
Signed - Dedication is Available
Bids Accepted: Worldwide
The Book:
A powerful verse novel about sexual consent, unplanned pregnancy and the breaking of taboos.
MARNIE'S REALLY MESSED UP THIS TIME.
Expelled and forced to change schools, the only empty seat in Marnie's new school is next to Zed, a nerd with zero tolerance for mistakes. Marnie (skilled at art and Spanish, struggles with numbers) can't wait to lose her virginity. Zed (brilliant at maths and physics, loathes languages) is a loner who can't stand being touched. They couldn't be less alike, but they both need good grades in the subjects they hate.
What starts as a trade in tuition turns into an unlikely friendship - and after Marnie has sex with a boy who lies about using a condom, she needs Zed's help to make the hardest decision of her life.
Author:
Tia Fisher writes books for the rebel teen trapped inside her. She spent her adolescence desperate to escape the confines of a tiny Norfolk village, reading indiscriminately through the shelves of the library where her mum worked; pouring out poems of unrequited love (which she kept private) and protest (which she pinned to the school noticeboard).
Back then, her poems got her expelled, but fast-forward 45 years and Tia's debut verse novel for teens, Crossing the Line, earned plaudits: the 2024 Yoto Carnegie Shadowers' Choice Medal, the UKLA 11-14+ prize, and a place in the 2024 Reading for Empathy collection.
Tia has just published her second verse novel, Not Going to Plan (2025, also with Hot Key Books) and in 2026, Piccadilly Press will publish Tia's historical prose middle-grade story, Operation Doodlebug.

The Book:
After another dreary term away at school, Grace is desperate to see her mum and brother again. Excited to spend Christmas with them, she arrives in Bath full of expectation and happiness. But the family's time together is suddenly interrupted when a shocking murder at their hotel throws everything into chaos. And when Grace's mum disappears soon afterwards, Grace trusts nobody.
With her mum missing and younger brother Billy in tow, Grace enlists the help of new friends Olive and Doug. Streetwise and clever, they help Grace and Billy come up with a plan to find out why Mum left the hotel and what happened to her.
Full of twists and turns, the mystery takes the four friends on an adventure. And as they start to uncover the truth behind the murder, they wonder if anyone at the hotel is really who they say they are.
The Author:
Fleur has worked as a shop assistant, a dinner lady and a curator. She has pulled up more dandelions than a person should and painted hundreds and hundreds of small wooden boats for her husband, who is a toymaker. She works as a children's bookseller, she has two almost grown up children and she lives in the West Country.
Her books are adventures, or mysteries or thrilling mysteries with added adventure. Dubbed as writing "thrillers for beginners" by the Sunday Times she continues to aim to keep her readers on the edges of their seats

Book Title: Northern Boy
Genre: Coming of Age Fiction
Format: Paperback
Signed: Yes, dedication is Available
Bids Accepted: Global
The Book:
Meet Rafi Aziz, an ABBA-loving ten-year-old growing up in early ‘80s Lancashire. Flamboyant, sensitive and confused about his feelings for the new boy in school, Rafi is a butterfly among the bricks.
He has to face bullies, challenge the shifting expectations of his eccentric mother and break out from the confines of his smalltown world if he is to be true to himself.
But Rafi isn’t prepared to leave his childhood behind without one final flourish of high kicks, a swish of sequinned cape and his impeccably Brylcreemed head held high.
The Author:
I studied Mathematics at a small Welsh university, far from the cobbled streets of my childhood. But I chose to earn a living with words. I worked as a journalist, on publications ranging from the Guardian to the Young Telegraph. In recent years, I've turned to fiction, writing short stories, often based on my cultural heritage. I have also written my first full work, Northern Boy, a coming-of-age novel about being a “butterfly among the bricks”. It will be published in Summer 2024 by Unbound Firsts.
I live in north London with my partner and our labradoodle Milo. When I'm not working on my writing or in my day job at a large City law firm, I enjoy long walks in Epping Forest, dreaming up new stories. I also compose music and would one day love to write an all-out Gothic musical version of Dracula.

This is a story about a group of friends who, seeking adventure and a way to make some quick cash, find themselves exploited into delivering vapes filled with an illegal substance. As they dive deeper into this risky operation, they soon come to a harsh realisation: the money isn’t as easy to earn as they thought, and the contents of the vapes pose serious dangers to their health and safety.
Christina's narrative for animation was initially commissioned by Nuneaton and Bedworth Council as part of their community safety initiative, funded by the Warwickshire Police and Crime Commissioner's Office.
The Author:
Christina Gabbitas is a children’s author, storyteller and voiceover artist, who always loved to read rhyming books and poetry in my early years. She penned some stories that she stored away in a box file twenty years ago, thinking that one day she would do something with them. Welcome to the World of Felicity Fly was born in 2012. The series has taken her into the final of the People's Book Prize 2014-2018, winning Best Achievement Award in May 2019.
Born in Blackburn, Lancashire where she spent the first twenty two years of her life, before moving to various parts of Yorkshire, where she now lives. (passports for both)
Christina is founder and trustee of Children's Literature Festivals charity, her patrons and ambassadors include musician Michael Bradley of The Undertones and Actress Jenny Agutter.
As a child she loved to read anything that rhymed. One of her earliest recollections of fun poetry was Spike Milligan’s Granny and also On The Ning Nang Nong. She loves Spike Milligan’s book Silly Verse For Kids.
She has always had a love of music and used to help the headmaster of her primary school tune the piano. She spent some of her teenage years playing saxophone and percussion with a band and supported a popular indie band at that time called The Chameleons. They played around venues in Lancashire and admits that she did look at little freaky!

Title 2: OWL KING (The Faery Realm series)
Genre: YA Fantasy (12+)
Format: Hardback
Dedication available: Yes
Postage: UK only
Title 1: NETTLE
Inspired by faery myth and folklore, the haunting, heart wrenching tale of a girl called Nettle in a dark, foreboding faery kingdom, for fans of Holly Black's The Folk of the Air series and Twin Crowns.
Welcome to a world of glittering courts, dangerous bargains and dazzling trickery.
A wild misfit in the human world, Nettle is enthralled by the glamour of the faery realm, with its two moons and scarlet stars. She grows close to Conor, a human stolen centuries before, and she also falls under the spell of mysterious Ellion, a Shadow Faery. To try to help her beloved grandmother who is fading in her world, Nettle makes a pact with the faery king. He'll heal her grandmother in exchange for Nettle completing three tasks. She agrees, not realising that deception lurks in this enchanted place, and that she has been tricked.
In this dangerous fantasy kingdom Nettle discovers, too late, her part in an age-old love story and the price she will pay.
Title 2: OWL KING (The Faery Realm series)
A dark, captivating 12+/YA tale of deception and survival, set in the same faery world as Nettle.
Long ago, kings and queens of the faery realms exchanged talismans with one another to maintain harmony in their world. The Stag King gave up a shard of antler, the Owl King a feather, the Minnow Queen a shimmering, silver scale. But the Owl King has grown restless, and his kingdom has become dangerous as he feeds off the magic of others. Always he hunts for a new bride to sustain him.
When devoted sisters, Ilsette and Lyla, are summoned to court, the Owl King's eye soon falls on the beautiful Lyla. Determined to save her sister from a terrible fate, Ilsette sets out on a quest to find the prized feather and change the balance of power.
Lyla bewitches the king with her stories, but time is running out. Meanwhile, Ilsette's search leads her to a realm with two moons and scarlet stars. Here she must trick King Locryn into revealing the feather's secret whereabouts, so that she can steal it. She's befriended by a strange magpie and two shadow faeries, but all the while, she faces an impossible truth – to save her sister, she must destroy peace among the realms.

When bidding on an auction item, if you enter more than the minimum increment for an item then your bid will be used for proxy bidding. This is how it works:
1. You enter the absolute maximum that you are willing to bid for an item.
2. jumblebee places a bid on your behalf, using the minimum amount required to make you the highest bidder, i.e. current bid price plus bid increment OR the reserve price, if there is one and it can be covered by your proxy bid.
3. jumblebee continues to bid on your behalf, whenever you are outbid by another member's bid, until your maximum bid is exceeded or the auction is won.
4. jumblebee will notify you by email if your maximum bid is outbid by another member and provided the auction is still running, you will then have a chance to enter a new maximum bid if you wish.
For example:
The current bid on an auction item is £100. The minimum increment is £10. You enter a bid of £150 (your maximum bid).
Using your bid, but increasing only by the minimum increment, jumblebee sets the current bid to £110.
Another person bids £130 but they are immediately outbid by jumblebee bidding on your behalf and the current bid goes up to £140.
The auction finishes and you have won the auction item at a price of £140.
